Reunited and it feels so good: Stabbing Westward

It’s been one of those weeks. Yesterday, I was thinking quite a bit about my grandparents (they both passed away a few years ago) and when I hit a site where I had to type in a randomly generated code, the code I had to enter was “Sadness Carroll” (my grandparents last name is Carroll). Earlier this week I dug out Stabbing Westward’s Wither Blister Burn + Peel for a listen and was even planning a “Where Are They Now?” post about the band. Then, today, I read that singer Christopher Hall and keyboardist Walter Flakus have gotten back together and are planning a fall tour. I can’t imagine bassist Jim Seller will take part as he runs a successful Whole Foods-type market in San Francisco called, fittingly, Sellers Market.

Here’s hoping that the tour includes some Ohio dates!
